How to Draw Mario. Video games only became as popular as they are today relatively recently. Until a few years ago, it was considered a hobby for a small niche; today, video games represent one of the largest means of entertainment in the world.

Because of this recent popularity, very few video game characters could be considered household names. Mario is one of the few characters that most people have at least heard of; however, many of his fans enjoy learning to draw Mario. This is the perfect tutorial if you’re a fan of this edgy Italian plumber!

How to Draw Mario

Step 1

Mario is rarely seen without his iconic hat, so it makes sense that in this first step of our guide on how to draw Mario, we start with it. First, use curved lines to create the thin brim of her hat that curves over her face.

Then use a few more curved lines to draw the large, puffy part of her hat over it. Finally, we use some more rounded lines for her uneven hair and ear peeking out from under the hat. Then we can continue with step 2 of the guide!

In this next step, we will add even more iconic details to your Mario drawing. The first will be to draw the big M on his hat. You can draw the letter in a bold block format and then draw a circle around it. So we’re going to draw his face.

It wouldn’t be a real representation of Mario without his famous mustache, so feel free to draw him under his nose with irregular lines.

Then draw some subtle shapes with circles for the straps of her jumpsuit. Finally, you end up with curved lines for his leg, which rises in front of him as he runs. Then it’s time for step 4!

In this image, you can see that we used shades of red for the hat and shirt and then went for some blue for the pants and some brown for the shoes, hair, and mustache. If you want Mario to look normal, you can use this example as a blueprint to help you! We recommend using some artistic mediums, such as B. colored markers and pens, to match the bright colors of the games, but whatever you use will look great!
